Baby's First Halloween

I am BIG on holidays, so today Ethan wore his "Baby's 1st Halloween" shirt for the first and only time...and then tonight we went to my parents' house so they could see Ethan in his costume and so he could "trick or treat" in a neighborhood that actually does it, as opposed to the retirement community we live in. As you can see...he wasn't too crazy about the costume tonight, but we took pictures anyways, and he cheered up once we were walking through the neighborhood.

Everyone tells me Ethan looks just like his daddy, so when I saw this on Meredith's blog...I decided to try it. Maybe it's just the monkey costume, but the meter says he looks more like me...so I'll take it :)

Fall Festival

Tonight was our Fall Festival at church, and Ethan's first Halloween outing. Ethan didn't like the hat with his costume at first as you can see (it was too tight around his neck), so I made some adjustments and he was happy to wear it when we got there, until he got too hot. We caught all the emotions on camera!

Fayetteville Saturday

Then it was off to Razorback Stadium for the homecoming game. We played a no-name team, but at least we beat them good! Ethan went in his Baby Bjorn and still managed to sleep through the majority of the game.

We started the day at a pancake breakfast at the firehouse so my nephew Reagan could check out the firetrucks. We had a great time and it is so neat to see how Fayetteville has such fun community activities.

Happy Fall Yall

We finally made it out to the Pumpkin Patch on our way out of town on Friday. We had been waiting for cooler weather and we certainly got it. Ethan was sleepy when we got there, but was kind enough to stay awake for a few pictures to make his mama happy!

Last weekend we went to the big dam bridge. It was Ethan's first time since being on the outside....so we had to get a picture. He liked it for the most part, except when the sun got in his eyes.

Baby Dedication

This morning, Ethan was dedicated at church. Both of our parents came for the big event and then we all did lunch together while Ethan slept. He was WONDERFUL for the dedication though, I just knew that's when he would want to show his louder side, but he was just awake and happy and let Brother Ed hold him for a special prayer and everything. It was really sweet!

Pumpkin Carving Party

Saturday night, Carrie and David had us all over for a pumpkin carving party at their new house in Benton. We had so much fun...the food was delicious and I can't remember the last time I laughed so much! We have NO idea how it happened, but somehow Brandon and I won with our little ghost face pumpkin. We REALLY didn't deserve it, but we appreciate it all the same. And I still think Terri & Bracy went above and beyond by bringing all the props to make their crazy faced creature pumpkin. Thanks to the Donnells for a wonderful time and a great prize! Mary Carole & Whitney were partners for the evening and they entertained me so much with their pumpkin carving skills & techniques that I had to get a picture of the sweet couple!
