Game Day AR v. UNT
We took Ethan to his 2nd game on Saturday. He actually stayed awake during tailgating this time, but he slept through the entire game. The picture of him surrounded by blue & brown material is him in the sling on my belly. I call it his cocoon and I swear he would sleep his life away in there if you just slip him a bottle every 3-4 hours in there, but it's a lifesaver on game days!
Birthday Dinner in Fayetteville
Since my brother and his family live in Fayetteville, we had a family birthday celebration for me up there Friday night. We went to PF Changs and thank goodness it was loud in there, because Ethan decided he was unhappy through most of the evening there. As you can see, my nephew was VERY fascinated with Ethan and Brandon got to take care of both boys during the meal :)

My Birthday
Today we celebrated my birthday AND Ethan turning 7 weeks old. My sweet husband got me flowers this morning (he already surprised me with a gorgeous ring on our date last weekend for my birthday gift). Then Ethan and I had lunch with my parents at Bene Vita before heading to make pottery at Firefly. I learned today that Ethan does NOT like to have his feet painted...so that was a scene trying to get footprints (that's why there are no photos of our outing). After all our running around today, Ethan took a nap on me while I rested up for dinner to end my birthday celebration. Tomorrow we'll gear up for celebrating in Fayetteville with my family and hope the Razorbacks can actually win this weekend!

Birthday with the girls
Thursday is my birthday...and Ethan will be 7 weeks old! The girls took me out to dinner on Tuesday to Senor Tequilas to celebrate. The staff threw a big 'ol sombrero on my head and brought a special dessert. I woke up thankful that my friend Laura got pictures of the evening and posted them on the internet so none of us could forget my foolishness. :)

Sunday naptime
Sunday afternoons are full of football in this house. Brandon and I watched the games while Ethan recovered from his weekend of excitement in Fayetteville. After his daddy left, I joined Ethan and we took a nap together on the couch...someday maybe you will see a picture of me and my son. It's always me taking the photos as you might have guessed...but this was too sweet not to catch a picture!
Reagan's Soccer Game
Last weekend, while in Fayetteville for the depressing loss of AR vs. Kentucky, we had the chance to go to my nephew's first soccer game. I have to say, I have the cutest nephew in the world...and he loves Ethan so much already! You can see Ethan was so excited to be there, he just slept like always. Reagan and my sister-in-law babysat Ethan during the game Saturday night and he screamed all night for them....I bet they wished he just slept through that, too!
Runway for the Cause
Last Thursday was the Runway for the Cause fashion show and luncheon to benefit breast cancer research. My lovely mom has been a model 3 of the last 4 years, so ACE Glass gets a table so we can go see her and celebrate her achievement. This December, my mom will have been a breast cancer survivor for 17 years. Every year I am reminded of how blessed my family is and how awesome it is to celebrate all those beautiful women who are survivors of such a great battle!

First Dinner Out
One Month Old
Ethan turned 1 month old on Sunday and had his one month check up on Monday. Thankfully my scale at home was wrong because I feared a lecture on making an obese baby (I got 14-15 lbs). He weighed in at 12 lbs, and measured 22 inches. So he is in the 95% for his weight and 75% for his height. Poor thing was rewarded for his good growth with a shot which he didn't appreciate, but he sure was a good trooper! So his daddy helped me take some new pictures, sorry it took so long to get some up here.

Visiting the Grays
On way home from Fayetteville on Sunday, we stopped in Plumerville again to see the other side of the family. Ethan had a house full of great-grandma, grandma, cousins, aunts and uncles there to meet him. He was pretty awake for a while which was fun for everyone to see him with his eyes open. His little cousins holding him and talking about how cute he is was SO precious!
Woo Pig...
So call us crazy....but we took Ethan to his first Razorback game on Saturday at just 3 weeks old. I know lots of people were worried about this situation, but as predicted, he mostly slept through it. He was awake for some of the 2nd half and halftime....but by the end of the game he was tired of people screaming and was for sure tired of that loud band. He was ready to be left alone and promptly sacked out in his car seat after the game. Also, our nephew was in rare form at the game dancing and directing the band....he was really fun entertainment as well as being so sweet to his cousin Ethan.
Visiting Great-Grandparents
Friday, on our way to Fayetteville we stopped in Plumerville to see Brandon's grandparents on his mom's side. It was their first time to meet Ethan and as he normally does....he just slept through his visit. Finally I got a picture of exactly how he likes to sleep....both hands up over his head, practicing for AR games saying "Touchdown Arkansas"
