Info on Ethan

Sorry there are no pics yet.....Ethan arrived thursday august 9 at 8:04 am. Weighing in at 10 lbs, 1 oz and measuring 20 1/4 ". He had some respiratory problems at first and then had to be observed in the NICU. After many prayers lifted and answered, mommy and baby got discharged yesterday afternoon.I will try to get some pics up tonight!

Ethan's Room is DONE

So I finally finished the baby's room this morning! HUGE thanks to Sabra for painting 3 WONDERFUL pictures for Ethan that makes the room even more special. I got it all on the walls, things put away, and I finally feel ready for baby...at least his room! I'll get some pics of Ethan on here as soon as I can after he gets here TOMORROW MORNING!!!!

Too much free time

So...staying home is restful and all.....but I get bored. So today I decided to Simpsonize me and Brandon and this is what we got! Ain't we a pair! I could have adjusted these to make us better looking, but I thought it was more fun just to keep what they created, what fun!

Final Doctor's Appt

We went in for an ultrasound last thursday, August 2....to get an estimated weight before next week's scheduled c-section. Ethan weighed in at 9 lbs, 13 oz. on Thursday and Dr. Deed says he will most likely be over 10 when he comes this week. I think she was a little shocked he was so big, but says she's glad we scheduled the section. He also measured 48 centimeters, and I was 37 weeks and Dr. Deed said it's the biggest single baby she thinks she has ever seen. Normally such a measurement only happens on twins. So.....for sure a BIG baby boy....but we are so excited and definitely on the final countdown. Since I am now home til he comes...I will get the pics of his room up this week.

Ethan's Birthday is set!

I went in this morning for my 35 week appt...even though tomorrow I am 36 weeks...but he jumped another 4 centimeters in the last 2 weeks! So he measures 46 weeks, whereas I am only 36 weeks......see why I think he's so big?? Well, Dr. Deed agrees and so we scheduled a c-section for Thursday, August 9th. That's ONLY 2 weeks from tomorrow! Brandon and I are SO excited and can't wait to meet our little (big) boy. I am just about done with the nursery, so I promise I will post pics when it's finished, hopefully this weekend!

34 Week Update

Lots of people have been asking for updates from the doctor's appointment on Wednesday b/c as you can see from the pictures, it looks like I could deliver at any moment and from the size of my belly you might guess it would be twins. Let me assure you, it's only one boy in there, he's just trying to set some kind of record and taking my body along for the ride! I have been measuring ahead since the beginning...3 weeks ago I was to 6 centimeters ahead and I thought that was pretty big. Then yesterday she says he is measuring 9 centimeters ahead and it's all baby, she can feel him from top to bottom and side to side. So for sure we're looking at a scheduled c-section. Dr. Deed said we don't electively take babies before 38 weeks, so we'll measure him Aug 8 and go from there. I have a feeling by the 15th Ethan will be with us on the outside. So keep us in your prayers as we approach the home stretch.

Baby Showers

We had our last 2 showers last weekend for baby Ethan. The top 2 pics are from our church shower, and the bottom 2 are from our shower at my mom's best friend's house. I didn't take very many pictures...but we were overwhelmed by all the goodies we got and this baby is already being spoiled! Thanks to all who came, hosted, and sent gifts......such a special time!
